Mowgli Street Food Lincoln

If you're strolling down High Street in Lincoln and hunger calls, Mowgli Street Food Lincoln is one of those rare gems you don’t want to walk past. Tucked away at 234 High St, this vibrant Indian street food spot brings a bold, cheeky twist to traditional Indian flavors-without losing that heartwarming authenticity. The moment you step in, it hits you: the smell of spices, sizzling dishes coming out of the kitchen, and the buzz of people chatting over cocktails or digging into steaming plates of Butter Chicken Bunny Chow.

Mowgli isn’t your average curry house. This is where Indian street food meets casual comfort dining. You’ll find everything from vegan delights to meat-lover indulgences, with small plates designed to be shared-or hoarded if you’re not in the mood to share (we’ve all been there). One standout is the Yoghurt Chat Bombs. Imagine crunchy puris that explode with tangy yogurt, tamarind, and spice in every bite. It’s not just food-it’s entertainment.

Looking for a richer, soul-satisfying option? The Butter Chicken Basmati Rice is a no-brainer. Creamy, buttery, and spiced just right, it pairs perfectly with a chilled Cobra Beer or their house Chardonnay. If you're lucky enough to grab a table outside on a warm day, that pairing feels like a little holiday right in the city.

And yes, Mowgli Street Food Lincoln is accessible. Wheelchair users will find ease in entry and comfort in seating, whether indoors or out. Plus, the vibe is relaxed enough for solo diners, buzzing enough for a dinner date, and warm enough for lunch with friends. Whether you're popping in for a late-night snack, a proper dinner, or just a cocktail or Espresso Martini at the bar-there's a spot for you.

They’ve got some seriously clever food and drink pairings too. The Treacle Tamarind Fries are that sticky-sweet-sour mess you didn’t know you needed, and they go beautifully with a zingy Mango Lassi or a bold Gin-based cocktail. Then there’s the Agra Ginger Chicken, smoky and fragrant, which honestly could convert a die-hard burger lover to Indian food in one sitting.

Craving something sweet? Finish off with the Ice-Cream Gulab Jamun-those golden syrupy doughballs drenched in saffron syrup and paired with mango ice cream are the definition of indulgent. If you’re more of a chocolate person, the Chocolate Brownie with a shot of coffee (Cappuccino, anyone?) is a match made in dessert heaven.

If you’re the type who likes to graze and sample, the Monkey Wrap and Small Plates selection offer variety without commitment. Great for people who want to try a bit of everything without over-ordering. (Although, let’s be honest-you’ll probably order more once you get started.)

Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or a meat enthusiast, there's no shortage of dishes tailored to your palate. Plus, the place serves wine, spirits, cocktails, and coffee, so whether you're there to relax, celebrate, or refuel after a long day, you'll be covered. It’s a mix of comfort food, street flair, and cheeky elegance, all wrapped into one.

Lincoln’s food scene isn’t short on options, but Mowgli Street Food Lincoln hits different. It’s not just about flavor-it’s about experience. You’ll feel the love in the food, the energy in the room, and the creativity behind every dish.

Had a great father's day meal here. Very attentive staff who were kind enough to help with my wheelchair. Menu has a good selection of dishes but isn't extensive. The food is good and nicely presented in a street style way. Vegetarian selection is good. Cocktails were lovely and had a great twist, roasted cardamom old fashioned, who would have thought it? Easy access with a chair and a very good accessible toilet (reverse in is best). Very clean and well laid out.

We had a great meal with friendly service. Kurtis and his team couldn't have been more friendly, they explained everything on the menu and helped us choose the best food for or group. Really attentive service too and a warm atmosphere.

Fantastic food, beautifully decorated with friendly staff. 10% service charge. Order about 3 things per person and sure to go with friends so you can try all the different dishes. Also they have swing chairs you can sit on. Very much worth visiting.
